Former British American Tobacco (BAT) site, Headway, Great Oakley


Proposed Scheme
The proposed development at the former BAT site will seek to:

Remove non-conforming industrial use through the demolition of the existing BAT factory building,

Remove all demolished material and clean up of existing ground conditions

Develop up to 250 homes, including the provision of affordable housing

Provide new public open space and play facilities

Provide new cycle and pedestrian routes

New sustainable drainage network
Vehicular access to the site would be served from the existing access north-west of the site directly onto Headway.
The Proposed Site Plan shows the areas of new housing, open spaces and the road network. The proposal also shows a new circular recreational route within the site linking up the retained open spaces.
The proposed development seeks to provide around 250 homes, including the provision of affordable housing.
